Privacy Policy for the ClearPE Application

The ClearPE application (hereinafter "the App"), developed by Pilicode, is an administrative assistance tool designed for Physical Education (PE) teachers.
The privacy and security of students' medical data are at the core of ClearPE's design. The App is built on strict "Privacy by Design" and "Zero-Footprint" principles.
This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled.
1. Data Collection and Hosting: "100% Local"
ClearPE does not collect, transmit, or host any personal or medical data on remote servers (Cloud). The App operates entirely offline. All entered or extracted data (student names, classes, dates, and types of medical dispensations) remains strictly and physically confined to your device's memory (smartphone or tablet). As the developer, Pilicode has no access, direct or indirect, to your data or your students' data.
2. Processing of Medical Certificates (Camera and OCR)
The App uses your device's camera to scan medical certificates and utilizes Artificial Intelligence (OCR) to extract text, saving you time.
To guarantee medical confidentiality:
- Ephemeral Processing: Image processing occurs directly in your device's Random Access Memory (RAM). The image does not pass through any external server.
- Immediate Destruction: The source image (the photo of the certificate) is immediately and permanently deleted from your device's physical storage as soon as the text extraction is complete. The App does not keep any gallery or visual history of medical certificates.
3. Security and Encryption
Although data never leaves your device, ClearPE deploys enterprise-grade security measures to protect the local database in the event of loss, theft, or unauthorized access to your phone:
- End-to-End Encryption: The local database is fully encrypted (AES-256 via SQLCipher). Encryption keys are generated and secured by your device's hardware (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain).
- Biometric Lock (AuthGate): Access to the App is systematically protected by a security barrier requiring your biometric authentication (fingerprint, FaceID) or PIN code.
- Anti-Screenshot: To prevent accidental leaks, taking screenshots and screen recording are technically blocked within the App.
- No Exporting: To prevent the dissemination of health data, the App technically blocks any attempt to export (PDF, CSV, JSON) or share the databases externally.
